Post by WHS Thursday, February 05, 2009 - 5:26 pm In reference to his edict that CEOs of large companies who received money from the bailout, Obama is quoted as saying: "For top executives to award themselves these kinds of compensation packages in the midst of this economic crisis is not only bad taste -- it's bad strategy -- and I will not tolerate it as president." This kind of arrogance and presumtuousness on the part of the president of the United States is astonishing! Anyone who thinks just a little bit about the implications of this type of abrogation of the rights of free individuals in a western civilization should be very fearful. Only a socialist who naturally assumes that the government has the right to direct the people at levels heretofore unheard of in America could say such a thing and not realize himself the meaning of what he is saying. Are we going to bleat and follow this man like sheep into the false promised land of leftism? Are we going to give up our cultural heritage this easily? Are we totally unaware of the basis for our country and western thought? We MUST realize what is happening and stand up very quickly to this man or we face the very real and probable road to losing our nation. |
